CATHERINE SINCLAIR

President

Catherine is a second-year student at UNB Law. Her academic background is in criminology and she was previously involved in the restorative justice community in Nova Scotia. Upon her arrival in Fredericton, Catherine noticed the absence of Restorative Justice services in New Brunswick. Consequently, she founded the organization in September 2019. She is the heart and soul of the organization. Catherine hopes to use her law degree to tackle social justice and criminal law. She is an RCMP trained restorative justice facilitator.

PATRICK LEGER

Vice-President

Patrick is a second-year student at UNB Law. He graduated with a degree in Finance and concurrent with his law studies, he works for the Canadian military. This summer, Patrick interned for Nathan Gorham and Breana Vandebeek, criminal defence attorneys in Fredericton and Toronto. He is an RCMP trained restorative justice facilitator.

DANIEL VLITOS

Director of Activities

Daniel Vlitos is a second-year UNB law student. In keeping with his historical research background, Daniel wrote our constitution and organizes all activities and events. He is fluent in Spanish and loves to travel. This summer, Daniel explored the beautiful coastline and trails of BC with friends and family. Daniel hopes to return to his home town of Victoria and work in employment law.

ALEXANDRA FAYE STEINBERG

Director of Finance

Alexandra is a second-year UNB law student. Through her background in finance, she is in charge of internal and external funding for the organization. This summer she wrote a contract law directed research paper under Dr. O'Byrne and volunteered with fundraising for the National Canadian Lawyers' Initiative. She hopes to use her law degree to pursue Securities and M&A law. She has incorporated the organization as a not-for-profit to provide student volunteers with access to the Canadian Student Services Grant. She is an RCMP trained restorative justice facilitator.

GABRIEL LAIDLAW-BALE

Director of Records

Gabriel Laidlaw-Bale is a first-year UNB Law student. With an educational background in science, he believes that exploring alternate justice programs is a vital part of pushing mainstream justice towards a better future. He is an avid traveller and history buff. This past summer and year he worked full-time for the Research Productivity Council in Fredericton, NB. Gabriel is excited about his new journey into the legal world. He is an RCMP trained restorative justice facilitator.

FRANK GILLIES

Director of Marketing

Frank Gillies is a first-year UNB Law student. Frank originates from England and completed his undergrad in philosophy at Durham University. During his undergrad, Frank was Captain of the Varsity Lacrosse team and an avid musician. Since his graduation, Frank has worked in both marketing and bartending. He intends to pursue criminal law; however, he is excited to explore all legal career paths over the next three years. He is an RCMP trained restorative justice facilitator.
